Transmen are Men!!!Repeat after me, "Transmen are men." That's all. Let's not complicate things. Did ya know that “woman” and “man” are socially-constructed terms (i.e., gender)? The terms “female” and “male” refer to our biological sex–something that we often confuse with gender (i.e., women and men). As I try to explain to my grandmother, sex is the body you’re born with and it’s typically labeled male or female. Gender is assigned at birth and often coincides with your biological sex. When the body you’re born into does not match the person belief yourself to be, that is when we venture into gender non-binary and gender non-confirming waters. Strap in and let’s get into it.
